Overdose of vitamin C can cause Kidney stones 

Vitamin C was used to treat scurvy in sailors in 18th century. Nowadays it is used as a treatment for the common cold. But overdose of vitamin C can cause kidney stones. When you consume an excessive amount of this vitamin, it causes heartburn and vomiting. In severe cases, it leads to diarrhea and kidney stones.

So if you are already taking supplements of vitamin C, beware of adding lemon or any citrus fruit in your meals. There are chances that in a person that has a history of kidney stones, excessive vitamin C intake can worsen the condition.

Too much vitamin D may cause bone less

Ages 4–8: 400 mcg.

Ages 9–13: 600 mcg.


Males 14 and older: 900 mcg.

Females 14–18: 700 mcg.


Pregnant females 14–18: 750 mcg.

Lactating females 14–18: 1200 mcg.

Females 19 and older: 700 mcg

Pregnant and lactating females:

Pregnant females 19 and older: 770 mcg.

Lactating females 19 and older: 1300 mcg.
